I’m going to be honest here. Both jacket styles have their merits. Personally, I like the mesh jacket, but that’s only because I know what kind of riding I’m going to do. I also live in a rather warm country now, Brazil, where the sun is just cooking. I like to be safe, but I also want to stay comfortable, especially when the bike starts to heat up when you are riding in the city.
Mesh jackets are also pretty safe and more reasonable priced. I recommend it.
